Can they really keep my deposit??? --Follow-up?

Okay, so a fishing boat company is saying they still will not refund my deposit for a trip because i canceled after the 90 day time limit. But, they said they would be willing to move my deposit to another trip next year sometime. If I tell them to put the deposit on a trip next year, then call back and tell them to cancel that one, wont my money then be refundable because I am now within the 90 cancelation period for that trip?? When they said they would move my money to another trip, they're claiming I can't get a refund because I am only "extending" my deposit, not placing a new deposit on a new trip. Is this a valid argument or doesn't the contract renew for next years trip and my money now falls under the 90-day limit for next year. Please, some legal help here|||Honey, the contract was IN WRITING. You didn't read it. They're being nice by letting you reschedule. You're NOT going to get your money back.

This isn't a legal forum, it's an insurance forum, but my sister is a lawyer, and I asked her. They don't HAVE to reschedule you, and they LIKELY won't let you "extend" a second time. And they can keep your money. It was in the contract.|||You screwed up. You didn't read the rules. Get over it!

You can either lose the money, or actually go on a trip next year. BTW, it was VERY nice of this outfit to give you that option.|||You want your 900 dollars back, Sell the ticket to somebody else or go on the trip. You screwed up, deal with it. Stop asking the same question over and over again, hoping that you will get the answer you want. The answer you've been getting is probably the answer you're going to keep getting.

You didn't cancel in time to qualify for the refund. The company is being generous offering you a different date. Make the new date and go fishing, or sell it to somebody that wants to go fishing, if it's transferable.|||unfortunately the boat company is right on this one. plan the trip for next year and have a little fun!!
