If I book and pay a deposit on a hotel room with my credit card can my boyfriend pay the remaining balance wit?

I am going to the Gold Coast and booked a hotel room there 3 months ago. I payed a deposit on the room using my credit card which expired 3 weeks ago. I have had to order a new card with a new order as my renewed one failed to arrive. My new one can't be activated in time to use at the hotel. Can my boyfriend use his card to pay the remaining balance? I have never booked a hotel before and am freaking out!!|||That should be fine, they wont worry too much as long as they get the money.

Ive paid several times for hotels using different cards to the one I provided them with to start with, and although they didnt involve deposits I cant see how it would be much different. If they say something when you come to pay, just explain what happened and they will be accommodating - they need to get the money out of you somehow. Dont panic :)|||Ozgirl is absolutely right, the hotel just wants their money, regardless of the source. I would suggest however that you get him to fax some sort of authorisation letter to the hotel saying that he will be paying that it's OK to charge the balance to his credit card. When I used to work as a receptionist at a big hotel we used to ask for this sort of thing to "cover ourr asses". I don't know if it's still needed but just in case.|||Of course he can. They don't care who's paying, they want the money. They would probably not like if you used his card to pay the rest, but if he is paying with his own card, it's fine.
